Leslie B. Powell, 66, of Weatherford, Tex., formerly of Crawfordsville, died Friday in a hospital at Fort Worth. Mr. Powell was a truck driver for McDaniel Freight Lines. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 50, Scottish Rite and First Christian Church here. Born March 12, 1909, at Crawfordsville, he was a son of Thomas and Elva Linn Powell. He was married to Martha Thomas. She survives. Also surviving is the mother of Crawfordsville; two sons, Thomas of Weatherford and William R. of Iran; two brothers, Thomas Clayton Powell of Crawfordsville and Lyle Powell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. – jlr
